I am a designer and front-end developer based in London, UK. Currently working at Outside Line, working to produce high quality designs for brands such as Lactofree, Cravendale, Becks and Lurpak. I have previously worked at Wallpaper* and also do a number of freelance roles.
I am also one of the key contributer to the design scrap book Aesthetic Pleasure which acts as a visual resource and inspirational kickstarter for myself and a colleague.

Outside Line - Site redesign

Lactofree, a site dedicated to educating consumers about lactose intolerance and selling the Lactofree brand required an entire site redesign.
Working alongside the team at W+K I produced a site that was inline with the current print creative. USing bold and bright colours we created a more fun and enjoyable experience for the user. One of the highlights being the Lactose diagnosis tool, a step-by-step break down that helps the user decide if they should use the Lactofre range.

Outside Line - Project pitch
Pitch for Cravendale competition where users would race to "Be the First", to work in line with the TVC showing the story of Brian, the first man to milk a cow.
Created a number of mocks for a flash site that would allow the user to access all the challenges and then enter each competition. Then there would be immediate win "Scratch cards".

I was contacted by the team from The Fly magazine to design the new look The Fly website. Their old site had become hard to navigate and was not adapting new video content and the volume of content that they were producing.
By bringing the site more inline with the style of the print magazine the new design helps to build their brand online and allow users to access information more easily.

Emily required a site build and then on going design and maintenance for her company 1882. The initial designs created by Pentagram were then adapted it to work with the content that Emily had provided.
By implementing carousels and accordion drop downs I was able to keep the clean and slick look of the brand identity created by Pentagram.

Wallpaper* magazine tends to have monthly themed issues that are then required to be translated into a digital format. I worked alongside the senior designer to build custom projects mocking up to show the editors and then working on the front-end development.

Wallpaper* and LDF have a strong connection and in 2010 they joined forces to offer festival goers a guide to navigate the exhibitions. As a creative team we developed an app that allowed the user to find events according to location, date, name and also select from a Designers' Choice.
This was a great task in working with two strong brands and combining them to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing application. We built mocks and then guided the development team through the build. The product was advertised throughout the festival and was recieved well.

Site build
Buffalo Magazine is an online magazine focusing on travel and lifestyle. They contacted me with a proposal for a pre-designed site that they wanted to be able to maintain alone.
My solution was to adapted a Wordpress theme to suit the how the team wished for the site to function. This required working seperate loops for the homepage and section homepages due to differences in styles and also styling of article pages and galleries.

Book design
Sleeve design for two Penguin Books for their annual design competition. Below are selections for Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road' and Naomi Klein's 'The Shock Doctrine'
